Dear Hubby (DH) and I have been married for 13+ years and have six children. He has a “real” job and I work from home – you know, when I’m not homeschooling the kids, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, and doing all of those other “wife and mother” jobs. Sometimes I even sleep. Seriously, though, my contribution to our income is primarily through ebay sales and nonfiction writing (mostly through contract clients). I also pitch in with royalties from the sales of my novels. (Author website & blog).
I started this blog to share my crazy, impossible journey of debt reduction. We’re working toward building a brand new house – an upgrade from our current 1500sf 3bed/1bath to over 4500sf with 7bed/5bath plus a full in-law apartment with separate entrances for my mom. If that’s not motivation, I couldn’t tell you what WOULD work for me! ;c)

Hi Sara – I have lost your email address due to deleting everything in Outlook trying to fix a problem. Love your blog, you are an inspiration. Hope all goes well with the novel – how exciting! I have tried my hand at a few short stories, but I am too scared to send them anywhere. I never did muddle through all of the fine print to get started doing anything on Elance. Maybe someone could make a career of explaning Elance to people so they don’t have to read everything to get going? Anyhow, just wanted to say Hi!

Renee, if you need help with Elance you just ask, girl! I’ll be happy to do what I can. And thanks for stopping in and saying “hi” – I’m so glad to “see” you! I should be finished with the first draft of the novel in less than 30 days. WOW on that! =c) I’m going to shoot an e-mail your way, so keep an eye out!

I hope you feel better VERY soon. Strange side effect to pregnancy. But they say they are all different.
Please take care of yourself.

Thank you so much! I think I’ve finally gotten rid of the worst of the headaches. I didn’t take the medicine today because I couldn’t keep it down the day before, and I’m doing okay. Having a brush with the flu was just horrible timing w/ the new pregnancy – there was no safe way to ditch the congestion. Hopefully I’m good as new by Thanksgiving – or maybe better. I’ve lost 11 pounds and counting, LOL!

I think we will both do better budget wise in 2010. It sounds like things are starting to turn around for your household (not after having pulled out your hair and your DH working his butt off on extra jobs). Your doing a GREAT job!
From my house to yours, HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I try to only pull out the gray hairs, LOL. Thanks so much for the support and here’s to a FABULOUS, productive, debt-smashing 2010 for both of us! Merry Christmas to all of you (and happy dancing for no credit card hangovers in January!!!)
